Marie Ann Knox
PASADENA, TEXAS—Control Solutions Inc. (CSI) has hired Marie Ann Knox as the new technical service manager for its pest control division, and Dr. Rami Soufi in the newly developed role of vice president of business development.
Knox studied at the University of Florida, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in entomology and a master’s degree in nematology. She comes to CSI with 13 years of industry experience in basic manufacturing, as well as distribution. She will be providing CSI’s customers and sales team with technical service and product information in the professional pest control markets.
Soufi comes to CSI with a 20-year-plus track record of innovation and success across highly competitive agrochemical, specialties and consumer markets for The Scotts Co., Uniroyal, Rohm & Haas and Gemplers. He has the responsibility for bringing new products into the company through relationships with third-party organizations and directing the internal Professional Product Development within CSI.
Soufi will be relocating to the Houston area from Columbus, Ohio, where he previously held the position of vice president of Global Controls Research and Development at Scotts. He joined Scotts in 2002 and earned five promotions during his tenure. He holds a doctorate in plant pathology from Oklahoma State University, and a master’s of business administration degree from Lehigh University.
