ROCKFORD, TN—Nisus Corp has announced the acquisition of the assets and intellectual property of Blue Diamond Manufacturing, including its Magnetic Roach Food gel bait line.
The Magnetic Roach Food brand gel bait began selling in the U.S. in 1989 and was the first bait to be sold commercially in 30 cc tubes and applied with a bait gun. Magnetic Roach Food has remained in production since that time. The product has also been registered in a number of foreign countries.
“These gel bait products are a great addition to Nisus Corporation’s pest control line,” says Lee Barrett, vice president of pest control. “The formula has been refined for over 25 years, and it is incredibly attractive to roaches.”
Nisus plans to have the product ready for market in July 2014 as soon as the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) transfers of registrations are complete.
In addition, Nisus will also handle the sales and marketing of the blue bait gun in the pest control industry. The bait gun will be branded with Nisus’s TrueTech equipment line as the “True Blue Bait Gun.”
Blue Diamond was also in the final stages of launching a new ant gel and a new roach gel. These products will be rebranded and launched after some label revisions.
