Slug-A-Bug Breaks Ground on New Facility

Photo: Slug-A-BugMELBOURNE, FL—Slug-A-Bug, Inc. announces the construction of a brand-new 5,712-sq- ft. building that will house up to 16 vehicles, as well as allow for additional product storage. This new facility will sit on property directly behind the company’s existing 8,000 sq. ft  office building.

Groundbreaking took place at the company’s headquarters located at 2091 N. Harbor City Blvd. in Melbourne at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 11.

“Thanks to the hard work of our dedicated employees and the support of our valued customers, our company continues to grow at a rapid pace, and we have outgrown our current facility,” notes  Steve Lum, president and CEO. “By adding the new building, we expect to convert our current building’s product storage area into additional office space, as well as adding a state-of-the-art training facility.

“This new building will provide the space needed to expand well into the future, and allow us to continue to support our community by adding jobs and providing a path of upward growth for our valued employees.”

Attending the groundbreaking were: William Patrick, senior estimator/project manager at Certified General Contractors, Inc.; Dana Kilborne, president and CEO of Florida Bank of Commerce, Steve Lum, president of Slug-A-Bug, James Stivers, founder of Certified General Contractors, Inc., Michael Scott, vice president of Slug-A-Bug; and the current employees of Slug-A-Bug, Inc.
