Anderson NIFBELMHURST, IL—On Feb. 28, Anderson Pest Solutions presented a $5,000 donation to the Northern Illinois Food Bank (NIFB), which acquires and distributes food to a network of more than 800 food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, senior centers, and other hunger reduction sites in 13 northern Illinois counties, providing food for an estimated 502,000 different people annually.

A check was presented on behalf of AnderCares, a division of Anderson that coordinates various community outreach initiatives throughout the year. This is the fourth consecutive year that AnderCares has contributed to the efforts of the NIFB.

“The Northern Illinois Food Bank’s mission is to help solve hunger in the communities we serve,” says Dylan Mooney, NFIB community engagement ambassador, who accepted the donation on behalf of the organization during a brief ceremony at its offices in Geneva, Ill. “We are extremely grateful for all the support we have received from AnderCares and Anderson Pest Solutions. In addition to providing us with top quality pest control in our distribution center, where we process food 24/7, they contribute to our cause by providing well over 100 volunteers from their corporate office annually. We are proud to receive this donation, which will provide over $40,000 worth of groceries to our neighbors in need. We thank Anderson Pest Solutions for all their support and will seek to deepen our partnership in the years to come.”

“Anderson is committed to giving back to the community it services and those in need,” says Mark O’Hara, president of Anderson Pest Solutions. “AnderCares brings together Anderson co-workers for causes that support children, the environment and good health. The Northern Illinois Food Bank is just one example of how we are accomplishing this. We are thrilled to be able to assist the Northern Illinois Food Bank in the fight against hunger in our community.”
