Rollins promotes Husen to technical services manager

Tim HusenAtlanta-based Rollins Inc. has promoted Dr. Tim Husen, BCE, to technical services manager, providing technical support and guidance to all of its pest management brands, including Orkin.

“We are very excited to welcome Tim to the Rollins technical services team,” says Dr. Mark Beavers, managing director of Rollins’ technical services. “Tim did an outstanding job while at Waltham Services as their technical, training and quality control manager since 2013. We congratulate him on his well-deserved promotion and look forward to his contributions to the company’s continued growth.”

While at Waltham Services, Dr. Husen developed and directed the company’s pest control technical and training operations, and managed quality control procedures, personnel and reporting at branches throughout New England.

Prior to joining Waltham Services, Dr. Husen worked as a research assistant and post-doctoral researcher at the University of Nebraska Department of Entomology, where he studied pest management of many urban insect pests including subterranean termites, nuisance/carpenter ants, cockroaches, house flies and bed bugs. His research led to 17 scientific or extension publications and numerous presentations at scientific and pest management industry-related events.

Dr. Husen earned his bachelor’s degree in biological sciences and master’s and doctorate’s degrees in entomology, with emphasis in urban insect pest management, from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln.  He is a board certified entomologist (BCE), holding category certification in both general entomology and urban/industrial entomology.
