Hunker promoted to Truly Nolen manager

Tucson, Ariz.-based Truly Nolen Pest Control has promoted Curtis Hunker to manager of its Sierra Vista, Ariz., service office.

Hunker joined the company in 2015 and was most recently assistant manager of Sierra Vista. Prior to joining Truly Nolen, he was general manager for Olive Garden for 14 years and worked in the restaurant industry for 23 years.

Hunker, who had been looking to switch fields for several years, did not have to look very far for inspiration. “My brother Grant has worked for Truly Nolen for many years in their video department and he has always said how much he loves his job,” he explains. “I thought my management skills would translate well if I switched fields, and I continue coming up with ways to apply my hospitality experience to everyday situations in the pest control industry with my employees.”

“Curtis has done a great job taking all of his management skills and using them to inspire his employees on a daily basis,” says District Manager Desi Rodriguez. “We are fortunate to have him as a member of our Sierra Vista team.”
