BHB acquires Tri-County

New York City-based BHB Pest Elimination has acquired Tri-County Pest Control, Belleville, N.J. Terms were not disclosed.

“This could not have been a better fit for both companies. Both BHB and Tri-County are long established companies, and both are dedicated to providing their customers the highest level of services,” BHB President Michael Broder says of his company’s first-ever acquisition. “Anthony (Merk) began Tri-County in 1978 and quickly became the premier company throughout the area. This acquisition gives BHB a solid foothold in New Jersey as we grow to service our expanding customer base.”

Merk will be staying on for several weeks to ensure a smooth transition, then will be retiring to Florida to join his two sons.

BHB Pest Elimination was founded in 1969 by Michael’s father, Benjamin Broder. Michael began working summers since he was 12 and joined full time after college.
