Ribbon cuttingTucson, Ariz.-based Truly Nolen Pest Control recently opened in Phillips, Neb. The franchise, which is the first Tri-City (Neb.) location for Truly Nolen, is owned by Randy Watson.

Watson is a lifelong Phillips resident and graduated Aurora High in 1980. Prior to his first franchise experience, he and his brother owned and operated Winchester’s Restaurant in Phillips for several years.

Watson has franchising experience dating back to 2005 as he previously owned a Scotts Lawn Service and serviced the Tri-City area. He ran this successful franchise for 11 years before being purchased by TruGreen. Prior to being his own boss, Watson spent five years as a market sales specialist helping small businesses and large industrial customers dispose of regulated and non-regulated waste streams.

“After selling my business, I researched several franchise opportunities looking for an organization that had the same business values and commitment to their customers as I do,” Watson says. “Truly Nolen is who I found and I am extremely excited about serving my community’s pest control needs.”

On July 14, the Grand Island Area Chamber of Commerce hosted an official Truly Nolen ribbon cutting event at Railside Plaza on the corner of Third and Wheeler in downtown Grand Island. The 27-ft. Truly Nolen Mouse Limo was on-site at the ribbon cutting and drove around the Tri-City area all weekend, giving out swag to local citizens.

Watson, who has been married for 31 years and is currently a Rural Fire Board member, says he was excited the public would be able to see the Mouse Limo at the event. “The mouse limo is a truly unique vehicle, no pun intended,” Watson says.

Greg Bohne, Truly Nolen VP of Domestic Franchising, says Watson went through training recently at the company’s Leadership Center in Tucson. Bohne says he is pleased to have Watson as part of the company’s family.

“Randy is very passionate about everything he does both in and out of our industry,” he adds. “His previous lawn care experience and franchising success should help him have endless possibilities in the Tri-City area.”
