BHBBased in Chelsea, N.Y., BHB Pest Elimination is now expanding into the Philadelphia, Pa., market.

“This was something that has been planned for many years. All the pieces fell into place to make this the right time to take the leap,” says BHB President Michael Broder, whose father, Benjamin, founded the firm in 1969.

Both the younger Broder and Andy Nieves, BHB’s director of operations, have strong ties to Philadelphia. Nieves lived there for many years during and after his college years. Border met his future wife while she attended college there.

“With each visit back to the city, we knew someday BHB would expand there,” Broder says.
Recently, several groups BHB works with throughout New York and New Jersey requested the company’s services for their Philly operations.

“We’re thrilled that it’s our commitment to quality that has given us this opportunity,” Broder says.

Broder notes that BHB is also looking to grow its Philadelphia presence by expanding its customer base and acquiring a pest management company in the area that shares its strong customer service values.
