Young elected COSE chair

John G. YoungJohn G. Young, the president of Speed Exterminating in Cleveland, Ohio, was recently named as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Council of Smaller Enterprises (COSE), for 2018-19. COSE is a 7,500-member regional organization that helps its Northeastern Ohio members deal with regulatory, legal, marketing and other business issues.

Young has been the president of Speed Exterminating since 1998, when he took over for his father, John W. Young. The elder Young was the chairman of COSE in 1981-82. Speed Exterminating was founded in 1908 by John G. Young’s great-grandfather, John Speed. Both Youngs state that working for Speed Exterminating is the only full-time job they have ever had.
