Atlanta-based Arrow Exterminators held its second annual field trip at Arrow’s National Training Center located in Woodstock, Ga. Over 155 second grade students from Avery Elementary School in Cherokee County attended and participated in labs focused on entomology, science and math. Arrow team members taught the students how the company’s service professionals perform inspections and the tools that they use. Students were even given the opportunity to perform their own inspections.

“We want the students to understand that what we do as an industry protects their health as well as the homes that they live in,” said Shay Runion, Arrow’s chief human resources officer and senior VP of professional development.

Arrow is a pest and termite control company that protects the homes and businesses of customers in Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas. With revenues exceeding $200 million, it has a fleet of more than 1,800 vehicles, 109 service centers and 2,000 team members. The company is QualityPro-certified by the National Pest Management Association.
