During a tremendously well-attended PestWorld 2007 in Orlando, Fla., I announced the launch of a year-long campaign to celebrate the association's 75th anniversary. The program will continue through to Washington, D.C., at PestWorld 2008, Oct. 22-25 at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center. Based around the theme of "75 Years of Service to the Industry and the Consumer," this campaign is designed to build brand awareness within the membership, and to boost media coverage by putting an aggressive face forward to the consumer.

Editor's Note: Pest Management Professional proudly supports and participates in Professional Women in Pest Management (PWIPM) and Minorities in Pest Management (MPM), and urges others in the industry to do so as well. The groups were founded by the National Pest Management Association (NPMA) to promote, mentor and serve as networking bodies for women and minority pest management professionals (PMPs), respectively. Each group's recent activities and PestWorld 2007-related events are outlined below.

Several good changes are on the board.
