Advion Insect Granule Registered by EPA

29 Jun, 2009 By: Pest management staff PMP Buzz Online eNewsletter

WILMINGTON, Del. — DuPont Professional Products has announced that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has registered DuPont Advion insect granule, and state approvals are in progress.

Pest management professionals (PMPs) now have a granular formulation that controls household and commercial pests across a wide range of applications with the trusted performance and environmental attributes they’ve come to expect from the Advion brand.

“Since we’ve made Advion insect granule part of our annual service, we’ve seen a significant decrease in service calls for peridomestic cockroaches, earwigs and crickets,” said Phil “Doc” Nichols, staff entomologist/director of pest control and termite at Middleton Lawn and Pest Control. “Its superior performance in mulch beds and other harborage sites, and its low toxicity, are additional reasons why it is a good choice for our business.”

Advion insect granule is a non-repellent bait that is highly attractive to a broad spectrum of insects including ants, cockroaches, silverfish, house and field crickets, and earwigs.

True to the Advion name, the new insect granule features the active ingredient that becomes MetaActive inside the insect and has proven horizontal exchange in social insects to reach beyond the insect that initially ingested it.
