AUSTIN, Texas — Dennis, Bobby and Raleigh Jenkins, of ABC Pest and Lawn Services, have reached the Canadian border on their bicycle journey from Austin, Texas to Calgary — approximately 2,380 miles. The charity bike ride left Austin, Texas on May 24 and is scheduled to end in Calgary, Canada on July 6.p>
Each brother is riding for a different charity. Bobby, with ABC in Austin, is raising money for Caritas in Austin, a local charity that helps people in Austin. Raleigh, with ABC in Houston, is raising money for the Kidney Foundation and Dennis, with ABC in Dallas-Fort Worth, is riding for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society.
The ride celebrates the company's 60th anniversary, and is dedicated to the brothers' father, Bob, who succumbed to kidney disease in 1998 after Raleigh donated a kidney to try to save his life.
Along the way, the brothers' mother, Sandy, will blog about the journey at www.goanteater.com/blog.
