Representatives from local governments, health departments, social service agencies, pest management professionals (PMPs), landlord and tenants rights groups, fire departments, the Ohio Departments of Agriculture, Commerce, Health and the Ohio State University Extension are working together to try and curb the problem.
To help with their vision, the task force recently launched their Web site, www.centralohiobedbugs.org.
The Web site provides information for individuals as well as providing targeted information for schools, public safety, housing, social services, hotels and lodging and healthcare industries to help identify bed bugs, prevent bed bugs and learn about misconceptions with bed bugs. Presentations are also available for group training.
Visit www.centralohiobedbugs.org for additional information.
