The honeybees, which got in through a crack in the house's siding, have forced her to close off a portion of her home.
Debra Foster reported that a swarm of honeybees has taken up residence within the walls of her downstairs den, forcing her to close off that part of her home.
"I've heard of this before, but I've never seen it," Foster said. "There's a big nest in the downstairs walls."
Foster, who has lived in her home since 2001, said she noticed the tiny invaders flying through a crack in the siding of the house. She immediately called a pest control company to her home.
A closer inspection revealed the bees had constructed a 6-foot-tall hive within the 6- to 8-inch space between her wallboard and the outside of her home.
