Warren, N.J.-based Viking Termite & Pest Control, an Anticimex company, has acquired RJS Pest Management Specialists, a family-owned and -operated commercial pest control company serving the Greater New York City metropolitan area. It was founded by Roger J. Seeger in 2005, and boasts a 95 percent customer retention rate. Terms were not disclosed.
RJS President Robert Seeger, a member of the founding family, will continue to drive the day-to-day operations of New York City and the surrounding areas, as well as its aggressive expansion plans.
“I am extremely pleased to announce the acquisition of RJS and to welcome Rob and the entire RJS team into the Viking family,” says Ryan Bradbury, president of Viking Pest Control. “We immediately recognized RJS as a best-of-category pest control company with an exceptional track record of growth and customer retention, as well as a deep understanding of the NYC market. RJS has developed a service- and values-driven business that will add momentum to our mission of building an industry-leading operation in the Northeast region of the U.S. I look forward to working together with Rob and the team to realize the full potential of RJS and see it flourish as part of Viking.”
“My father and I, along with the RJS team, built this company from the ground up on the values of hard work, responsibility, respect, honesty and integrity,” say Seeger. “Our people — not just our valued team members, but also our loyal customers — are the heart and soul of our business. Given our growth trajectory and consistent profitability, the idea of acquisition was never something we considered until we met with Ryan. As the newest members of the Viking family, we can now achieve our vision of becoming the undisputed leader of the Greater NYC metropolitan area pest control market faster than ever. We look forward to working hand-in-hand with the Viking team to grow, and we feel very assured that the future will be promising and beneficial for both our loyal customers and employees.”
