Founded in 1997 by David and Dorene Norris, YPPC is one of the fastest-growing commercial pest control companies in the DFW metro area. They note that’s in part due to Patrick Quigley of Sales Training by Design assisting the management team.
“Clearly, as business owners, valuation is important, but equally so is our people and our customers,” the Norrises noted in a statement. “We chose to sell our business to Orkin because they made us feel very comfortable that our business would continue to run standalone and provide the same quality of service to our customers as we always had. They’ve lived up to their commitments to our team, our customers and us, and we are confident that we made the right decision.”
“The Norris family has really built an amazing commercial pest control business,” says Paul Giannamore, managing director of Potomac’s pest control group. “With three-year compound annual growth rates exceeding 25 percent, it’s very rare to see a commercial business of this size growing so rapidly. Owners Dee and David have built a culture of growth and accountability, and it shows.”
The entire YPCC team has joined Orkin, including shareholder Dorene Norris, who is focusing on what she likes to do best — managing and selling commercial accounts. Giannamore and Ericka Andes of The Potomac Co. acted as exclusive financial advisors to the company along with attorney Michael Stanczyk, who has worked closely with Potomac for many years on transactions with acquirers such as Orkin, Rentokil, Arrow Exterminators and Anticimex.
