CPCO of Georgia hosts 20th annual fall conference

The Certified Pest Control Operators Association of Georgia (CPCO of GA) had their annual Fall Conference October 3-5, 2018 at the Atlanta Motor Speedway in Hampton, Ga. with BASF Corporation as the presenting sponsor. A Gala at the Speedway where BASF Georgia reps, Warren Vannest and Deidra Meudt, introduced their products and services. CPCO of GA President, Marty Jones awarded Bob Shelnutt the 2018 Award of Excellence and welcomed everyone to participate in the P.E.S.T. Relief Silent Auction. Glenda Lehmberg, Executive Director, cast the vision for the future which includes strategic partnerships with key industry players and expanding training and services to members.

The 1.5 day training, held on October 4-5 included 11 CEU hours with credits approved for Georgia and nine other states. Syngenta sponsored Dr. Austin Frishman as the keynote speaker with a talk entitled, “Ladies and Gentlemen Start Your Innovative Engines: A 21st Century Approach to IPM.” Along with amazing speakers, the conference offered a Truck Parade sponsored by Real Fleet Solutions where participants drove their vehicles around the track at the end of the first training day. After the second training day, those who pre-registered were given Pace Car Rides.

Over 400 people attended the conference as well as over 70 reps from the 40-plus vendors who showcased their products and services. Special thanks to those who sponsored this event. The Silent Auction for P.E.S.T. Relief International raised $3700 to assist with future projects to bring comfort and relief to those in need.
