As one of six Strategic Founding Partners associated with the program, Corteva will be a primary resource for the future of pest management professional (PMP) training.

“We’re honored and excited to recognize Corteva Agriscience as a Strategic Founding Partner for our NCPMA Premier Technician Program,” says Marie Horner, VP of government affairs with Arrow Exterminators and member of the NCPMA board of directors. “Corteva Agriscience has demonstrated a year-over-year legacy of support and commitment to furthering advances in the pest management industry — in North Carolina and beyond — and this collaboration continues to solidify those initiatives.”

The Premier Technician Program will use funding from its six Strategic Founding Partners, including Corteva, to bolster training resources for PMPs. Program courses provide technicians with hands-on training in both the classroom and the field. Upon completion of each course, technicians will receive certificates designating their mastery of critical pest management concepts.

In addition to training, the program educates technicians on the best uses of pest management products such as termite liquid treatments and baiting systems, as well as the ActiveSense system, which enables remote monitoring of pest activity. North Carolina technicians will be trained in the proper management of termites, ants, cockroaches, bed bugs, rodents, flying insects and more.

“At Corteva Agriscience, we believe the future of pest management requires a combination of the right tools, cutting-edge technology, smart technicians and cross-industry collaboration,” says Greg Sudholt, senior territory manager for Corteva Agriscience. “Our goal is to support initiatives that align with that vision. Through the Premier Technician Program, NCPMA demonstrates a clear commitment to our values, offering a robust suite of resources and training that PMPs need to hone their skills and provide quality service to commercial and residential customers alike.”

The Premier Technician Program and its six Strategic Founding Partners were announced and launched at the NCPMA Mid-Atlantic meeting on July 25. The first courses will be held this fall. Registration is coming soon.
