Featured speakers include Rod Wheeler, a law enforcement and homeland security expert, and Jim White, a Safe Quality Food (SQF) auditor and consultant with more than 30 years of experience in food plant auditing.

Wheeler’s presentation will focus on defining “food defense” and how to use defensive practices as offensive moves in food safety and IPM.

White’s talk will detail the ins and outs of SQF and Global Food Safety Initiative audits.

Other key topics to be addressed during the seminars include FSS’ DynamicIPM Services, fumigation, remote monitoring and decontamination.

A roundtable Q&A discussion will be included in both morning and afternoon sessions.

“Attendees can expect to see, touch and interact with the latest technology available in the industry,” says Jeff Waggoner, VP and general manager of FSS. “Remote monitoring is the future of IPM, and we invested heavily in those capabilities. They will also learn about how fumigation and decontamination services may prevent a recall, how we can do it safely and if they are doing it on their own, how they can do it safely and what options they have when electing to do so.”

FSS Inc. will hold the seminars at two locations:

  • Dec. 10 in Chicago, Ill.
  • Dec. 12 in Atlanta, Ga.

Seminar details, registration and continuing education information is available at FumigationZone.com.
