PWIPM of New England launches regional award, upcoming events

Professional Women in Pest Management (PWIPM) of New England launched its first regional Women of Excellence Award.

The regional honor is open to women in positions throughout the pest management industry including: pest management professionals, manufacturers, research organizations, etc. The award will be given to an individual who demonstrates outstanding leadership and has made notable contributions to the development and growth of the profession and their companies.

The winner will be presented with the award at the New England Pest Management Association’s (NEPMA) Spring Training Seminar during the Dinner Program on March 5, 2020, in Nashua, New Hampshire. The award winner will receive a plaque, a $100 gift card, and recognition within the industry and with NEPMA.

Nominations will be accepted through Feb. 17, 2020, and candidates may be nominated by more than one person. Nomination forms can be downloaded here and emailed to marillian@buonopestcontrol.com.

In February, the PWIPM of New England will host a Lunch & Learn, open to all members of NEPMA and the National Pest Management Association.

The Lunch & Learn will include lunch and take place 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Feb. 13, 2020, in Woburn, Mass.

Univar Solutions’ George Williams, ACE,  will present “Being A Pest Management PROFESSIONAL.” Topics will cover customer demands, customer service and communication, understanding and marketing to buyers, digital technology, company reputation and more.
