McKinney, Texas-based PestRoutes was named one of Forbes’ Best Startup Employers. The inaugural list of America’s Best Startup Employers for 2020 was released March 10.

“To be recognized on Forbes’ list of America’s Best Startup Employers is quite an honor,” said Patrick McKittrick, CEO of PestRoutes. “Over the past 18 months we have experienced rapid growth in our business and have expanded our team dramatically to support these new customers. Throughout this expansion we have worked hard to preserve the company’s passionate, customer-focused culture that sets PestRoutes apart.”

The award is presented by Forbes and Statista, a statistics portal and industry ranking provider. More than 7 million data points were analyzed to identify the top startup employers for the inaugural list. Three aspects of each startup company were assessed during the evaluation: employer reputation, employee satisfaction, and company growth.

  1. Employer reputation measured social media success, and company-specific information was algorithmically extracted from social media channels such as news sites, micro-blogs, blogs and social networks.
  2. Employee satisfaction data consisted of research conducted on average length of employment, employee ratings and quantity of ratings.
  3. Company growth metric calculations were evaluated including website traffic, job openings, headcount information and funding information.

From 2019, PestRoutes reports a recorded an average employee NPS of 59, and a voluntary turnover rate of 6 percent, all while adding 51 percent more employees. In addition, PestRoutes secured a new majority investment from Gryphon Investors, a San Francisco, Calif.-based middle-market private equity firm, to kick off 2020. PestRoutes’ previous financial sponsor, Mainsail Partners, has retained a minority stake, along with Founder Jared Green.

“As we continue to experience high growth, we remain committed to developing and advancing our employees,” McKittrick said. “We are also actively hiring for open positions across the organization and are poised to add additional headcount throughout 2020 and beyond.”
