Rollins Inc. board of directors announces promotions, additions

Atlanta, Ga.,-based Rollins Inc. has announced promotions and additions to its board of directors.

Key appointments include Gary W. Rollins, John Wilson and Jerry Gahlhoff along with the addition of Harry J. Cynkus.

Gary W., a Pest Management Professional (PMP) Hall of Famer, Class of 2012, was elevated by the company’s board of directors to the Rollins board chairmanship. Wilson, currently Rollins president and COO, was promoted to the company’s vice chairman. Gahlhoff was promoted to president and COO.

“John and Jerry bring years of excellent experience and leadership to these new positions,” said Gary W. “We are fortunate to have them assume a greater role in the direction and future of our Company.”

In 1996, Wilson joined Rollins subsidiary Orkin Pest Control, founded by PMP Hall of Famer Otto Orkin (Class of 1999). Wilson held various positions including technician, sales inspector, branch manager, region manager, vice president and president of the Southeast Division before being name President of Orkin in 2009. He will assist with critical company projects at the direction of Gary W., as well as coaching the company’s new generation of leaders.

Gahlhoff joined Rollins in the HomeTeam acquisition in 2008 and has managed several areas of the company. Most recently, he has led the Rollins human resources department and the Rollins Specialty Brands team of HomeTeam, Clark, Northwest, Western Pest, Waltham Pest and OPC pest control companies.

In addition, Harry J. Cynkus was elected as a new director of Rollins. He was the former senior VP, CFO and treasurer of Rollins, holding various positions from 1998 to 2015. After beginning his career with Arthur Andersen & Co., he held financial positions with several companies including Tyco International, ARAMARK Services, Brach & Brock Confections and Mayer Electric Supply Co. Cynkus currently serves as the vice chairman, trustee and head of the audit committee of the Utica College coard of trustees. His professional memberships include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Financial Executives Institute.
