American Pest, an Anticimex company based in Fulton, Md., has acquired Cockeysville, Md.-based Atlas Exterminator Co.

Atlas Exterminator Co. is a family-owned pest control firm that has been serving homes and businesses in Baltimore and surrounding areas for more than 70 years.

“We look forward to cultivating a relationship based on the respect and conviction that Atlas has provided to their customers over the last seventy years,” said David Billingsly, ACE, president of American Pest. “Atlas’ accomplished pest control professionals are a great addition to our diverse, growing team.”

Bruce Morgan, owner of Atlas and past president of the Maryland State Pest Control Association (MSPCA), currently resides as chairman of the association’s Wood Destroying Insect (WDI) Committee—stewarding the state’s credentialed program and training needs.

“At Atlas, we have always valued the confidence business owners and homeowners have placed in our team members and our service quality,” Morgan said. “With this merger, we found a partner with comparable values — a partner focused on service excellence, an organization that offers an assortment of new service lines to compliment what Atlas already provides.”

The Aust Group represented Atlas Exterminator Co. as the exclusive financial advisor.

For the past four years, American Pest has completed 12 acquisitions. Its most recent acquisition before this was Richmond, Va.-based PestMasters Inc. last October.

Earlier this year, the company launched the American Disinfectant Service to customers throughout Washington D.C., Maryland and Virginia. Home and business owners facing disruptions from the coronavirus outbreak in these markets will have access to priority scheduling and after-hours treatment options, the company noted.
