Burrtec USA is offering continuing education unit (CEU) credits to pest management professionals (PMPs) in 11 states — plus Washington, D.C. — who attend its Oct. 29 educational Zoom webinar, “Rodent Control 101.” The free webinar will take place at 4 p.m. Eastern. Click here to register.
The webinar is approved for CEUs in Texas, Florida, Michigan, Indiana, Massachusetts, Montana, New Mexico, District of Columbia, Oklahoma, West Virginia, Rhode Island and Nevada. At press time, CEU registrations are pending in other states.
This is Burrtec’s first webinar, but is intended to be part of an ongoing series. “Rodent Control 101” will provide a look at the basics of professional rodent control, and explore the best practices that every pest control technician should know. Topics covered include everything from inspections to treatments, exclusion methods to rodent trends.
The speaker is Burrtec Sales Representative Ed DeMask, who has more than 20 years of experience doing public relations, marketing, advertising and sales in the pest control industry.
The news comes as the professional pest control industry celebrates National Rodent Awareness Week, Oct. 18-24. All week the National Pest Management Association’s public outreach arm, the Professional Pest Management Alliance, is dedicating its PestWorld social media pages to sharing important rodent information, facts and prevention tips. Pest control companies can help further the cause by also focusing their social media content on rodents throughout the week, and use the hashtag #RodentAwareness in all posts.
