Orkin acquires part of Indiana’s Yes Pest Pros

Atlanta, Ga.-based Orkin Pest Control has acquired the Yes Pest Pros locations of Elkhart and South Bend, Ind. Kemp Anderson Consulting represented Yes Pest Pros in the deal; terms were not disclosed.

In 1969, Joseph and Robert Young purchased a pest control company in Bloomington, Ind. That purchase kicked off three generations of the Young family working in the pest control industry.

Joseph’s son, David, expanded locations in northern Indiana and southern Michigan. And then David’s son, Tony, purchased those northern Indiana locations from his father.

Tony continued to grow the company through mergers and acquisitions as well as organic growth. He eventually purchased the original location in Bloomington, Ind., from his grandfather.

Tony and his wife, Annie, decided to sell the locations of Elkhart and South Bend, Ind.

Other locations still in the Yes Pest Pros family include Goshen, Ind., and in Niles, Sturgis, Cassopolis, and Three Rivers, Mich.

Founded in 1901, Orkin operates more than 400 locations with almost 8,000 employees.
