In May, Orlando, Fla.-based Massey Services partnered with the Orlando Utilities Commission (OUC) and the latter’s annual Earth Month community project. This program is intended to help beautify spaces in the Central Florida community, while also ensuring they are more energy-efficient. As part of the project, OUC updated and redesigned the landscaping around the onePULSE foundation’s headquarters in downtown Orlando. Prior to the landscaping redesign, Massey Services installed the new irrigation system around the property.

The onePULSE Foundation was established after the June 2016 mass shooting at Pulse Nightclub. In addition to running a museum, administering a scholarship program and continuing community outreach, the foundation’s mission is to create a sanctuary of hope and to honor the 49 lives that were lost, those who were injured and the countless first responders and healthcare professionals who treated them.

“The opportunity to partner with OUC on this project for the onePULSE Foundation is very important to us,” said Andrea Massey-Farrell, president and CEO of the Harvey and Carol Massey Foundation and senior VP of Community Relations of Massey Services. “This memorial provides a place of healing and hope for our entire community, and we are honored to be a part of it.”
