Rentokil acquires three pest control companies

Reading, Pa.-based Rentokil North America announced the acquisitions of three pest control companies.

Other recent acquisitions by Rentokil include Aberdeen Exterminating, Inman-Murphy Termite and Pest Control, Arrow Exterminating Co. and Aanteater Pest Control and Wildlife Services.

Southern Pest Control

Rentokil North America acquired Pascagoula, Miss.-based Southern Pest Control.

The Aust Group acted as the exclusive financial advisor to Southern Pest Control.  The acquisition was finalized in July.

Southern Pest Control was founded in 1975 and services communities in Pascagoula, Biloxi, Gulfport, Ocrean Springs, the entire Mississippi Gulf Coast area and Mobile, Ala.

“Our primary concern is providing the best level of service to our customers and great benefits to our employees,” said Karen Gregory, owner of Southern Pest Control. “We believe Rentokil shares our values and will offer additional opportunities for our employees to grow professionally and personally. During the entire process, Rentokil has proven they care about their customers and colleagues.”

Bain Pest Control

Rentokil North America also acquired Lowell, Mass.-based Bain Pest Control, which was finalized in December 2020.

“We are thrilled to welcome Bain Pest Control Service into the Rentokil family,” Myers said. “We look forward to continuing to serve the customers and community in New England by protecting people and enhancing lives.”

Bain Pest Control was founded in 1926 by Abraham Bain and has been run by his grandson, Jefferey Bain. The company has a strong client base in Massachusetts and serves communities in New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Maine.

Our company now has access to resources, training, technology and technical expertise that is among the best in the world. The Potomac Co. acted as exclusive financial advisor to Bain Pest Control.

Blue Chip Pest Control

Rentokil North America acquired Missouri-based Blue Chip Pest Control, which was finalized in December 2020.

“Blue Chip Pest Control has a history of providing exceptional customer service to their customers across Missouri and surrounding communities,” Myers said. “We are thrilled to expand Rentokil’s presence in Missouri and welcome the Blue Chip employees and customers to the Rentokil family.”

Blue Chip Pest Control was founded in 1971 by Scott Phillips. The company provides pest control to commercial and residential customers in the metro St. Louis, Mo., area, including the Mississippi River into Illinois.

“Our primary concern throughout the process was our employees and customers, and Rentokil was a great fit,” said Jeff Phillips, second-generation owner of Blue Chip Pest Control. “While working with their team, it was clear that Rentokil’s commitment to service gave us confidence that our employees will receive exceptional opportunities and our customers will be well taken care of.”

The Potomac Co. acted as the financial advisor to Blue Chip Pest Control.
