FMC appoints key customer manager, opens nominations for PestVet award

Philadelphia, Pa.-based FMC Corp. appointed Jason Hart as the key customer manager for the Pest Northeast and Northern Territories.

FMC Corp. earned a reputation for offering differentiated solutions designed to help professionals with fast and dependable long-lasting products while consistently breaking new ground in pest control formulation technology with solutions like Scion Insecticide with UVX Technology along with Talstar brand insecticides.

“Bringing Jason on has allowed FMC to realign territories to better fit our customers and their needs,” said Tom Wharton, FMC North American sales manager for the pest market.

Hart is a veteran of the British Armed Forces as well as spending over 10 years with a major distributor in the pest control industry. He brings deep industry knowledge to FMC Corp. and his customers in the Northeast and Northern territories, having held positions of outside sales associate, senior account executive and international account executive.

“I am eager to support pest management professionals by bringing FMC’s extensive line of brands to help address the challenges our customers face today while proactively solving future needs,” Hart said in a news release.

Submissions are now open to nominate pest management professionals for the David Cooksey PestVet of the Year Award, which is sponsored by FMC Corp. and National Pest Management Association (NPMA).

The David Cooksey PestVet of the Year Award was created to honor a Veteran who has helped strengthen the role of the pest management industry.

The award recognizes those for their contributions to the industry and the communities they serve.

The criteria may include any of the following:

  • The nominee’s leadership/involvement in community volunteer activities
  • The nominee’s contributions to the pest control industry
  • The nominee’s contributions to his/her company
  • The nominee’s contributions to other Veterans

The minimum qualifications for a nomination must include: must be an honorably discharged (DD214) Veteran of the US Military and must be employed by the NPMA member company.

Submissions for the award must be received by Feb. 25.

The award winner will be announced at NPMA Legislative Day March 13-15. Registration for Legislative Day is open.
