Join Target Specialty Products’ technical training manager, Heather King Alonso, BCE, for a free webinar March 24. Titled “Building a New Technician Training Plan,” the one-hour webinar will begin at 1:30 p.m. Eastern.
“This webinar will discuss how hiring has been an incredible challenge for many industries during the pandemic, and pest management is no different,” Alonso explains in a news release. “But once we do find quality staff, it can be even more challenging to get them from inexperienced to competent pest management professionals.”
Alonso says her presentation “will look beyond the technical content, and discuss useful tips for building an effective new employee training program, designing onboarding checklists, effective training duration and building a solid foundation, proven training mediums (New and “Seasoned”), measuring and evaluating the success of your program, and reviewing Target Specialty Products’ customer content.”
Attendees will be provided with checklists and other resources to integrate training practices into their companies’ onboarding processes. Attendees are also invited to ask questions at the conclusion of the webinar.
Alonso is a Board Certified Entomologist, and holds a degree from Clemson University in crop and soil environmental science. She has been in the industry for more than 17 years, and has held various roles focused on technical training. She lives in Columbus, Ohio, with her husband, AJ, and three children.
