Plunkett’s Pest Control acquires Hansen Services

Plunkett’s Pest Control has acquired Hansen Services, a Chicago, Ill.-based pest control company that provides full-service pest control in the three main counties of Chicago: Cook, Will and DuPage.

This acquisition merges two privately owned pest control companies and expands Plunkett’s Pest Control service capabilities in the greater Chicago area.

Stacy O’Reilly, owner and president of Plunkett’s Pest Control, said in a news release, “Hansen Services stood out to us because of their family values and wonderful client relations, and we are working closely with Robin and Tom to help integrate clients into the Plunkett system, and to help transition their technicians and office staff to positions at Plunkett’s. I have a lot of respect for the company that Robin and her father built and the partnership they developed with their clients. We are looking forward to learning from the team and doing what we can to help everyone continually grow and improve.”

Hansen Service was started by Robin’s father, Donald Hansen, in 1983 out of the family’s basement. Since then, it has evolved into a successful pest control company due to the assistance of Robin and her husband, Tom. Robin and Tom officially took over the company in 2004, making sure to continue Donald’s tradition of personable, client-first pest control services.
