AMGUARD Environmental Technologies is encouraging pest management professionals (PMPs) to nominate a “2022 American Innovator” before the deadline of June 30, 2022.

The Research Triangle Park, N.C.-based company’s recognition program celebrates the ingenuity, creativity and work of professionals in the industry.

To nominate someone, visit the American Innovators website. In 300 words or less or with up to two photos, or both, explain how your nominee demonstrates excellence in professional turfgrass or pest management in one of two categories:

  • Product use of cultural practices
  • Marketing and business management

Pest control technical directors, owners, office and branch managers, technicians and sales representatives are eligible.

A selection committee composed of industry leaders and influences will choose the winner in the pest control category later this year. He or she will be awarded with an extra-large, Legacy Series wooden American “Flag of Valor,” handcrafted by American veterans.

“When we launched the American Innovators in early 2022, we expected a positive response to this program because we knew that our industry is full of hardworking professionals who go ‘over and above’ to strive for excellence each day,” said Shayne Wetherall, CEO of AMGUARD Environmental Technologies. “We’ve been blown away by the thoughtful nominations we’ve received from colleagues eager to spotlight the American Innovators of their industries, and we look forward to introducing this year’s winners.”

The 2022 American Innovator for pest control will be recognized at the National Pest Management Association’s PestWorld 2022 event, taking place in Boston, Mass., Oct. 11-14, 2022. He or she will also be featured on the AMGUARD website.
