New from Control Solutions Inc. (CSI), Doxem Plus Fire Ant Bait is a triple mode-of-action solution for controlling fire ants all season long. It contains three active ingredients: indoxacarb, novaluron and pyriproxyfen, and is labeled for use in residential and commercial lawns and landscape areas, golf courses, recreational areas and industrial sites. Doxem Plus Fire Ant Bait works to kill the queen and workers, resulting in the elimination of the entire colony. One application controls fire ants for an entire season. Doxem Plus Fire Ant Bait is labeled for application to individual mounds or as a broadcast treatment for larger areas. It is not a restricted-use product (RUP), allowing applicators to use the product where they need it without the burden of additional record keeping. The bait is labeled not only for red imported fire ants (Solenopsis invicta, or RIFA), but also for big-headed ants (Pheidole megacephala, or BHA), pavement ants (Tetramorium caespitum) and turfgrass ants (Lasius neoniger).
