Industry fraternity Pi Chi Omega is making available six scholarships to students majoring in urban and industrial pest management or some closely related plan of study.
Students at home or at the office, who are pursuing a degree, are encouraged to apply for the scholarships. Pi Chi Omega is making available six scholarships to students majoring in urban and industrial pest management or some closely related plan of study. The object is to encourage and assist outstanding students to prepare for careers in pest management.
The scholarship applications include:
- Dr. John Osmun Scholarship $3,000
- Founder’s Endowment Scholarship $2,000
- Alain VanRyckeghem Memorial Scholarship $2,000
- Dr. Austin Frishman Scholarship $2,000
- Norm Ehmann Scholarship $2,000
- R. Randall Rollins Memorial Scholarship $2,000
The application deadline is March 15, 2024. Apply for scholarships on the Pi Chi Omega website.
Pi Chi Omega accepting industry grant applications
In addition, Pi Chi Omega is offering industry grants to select qualified individuals who want to continue learning, further their careers in pest management or promote entrepreneurial products that enhance the field of urban and industrial pest management. Examples of activities that a grant would be considered appropriate for include, but are not limited to, conference attendance, college or technical level courses, other advanced skill acquisition, money for new product creation, and costs of publishing or disseminating relevant information to the industry.
Applications will be accepted until March 15, 2024. A second round of applications will be accepted through Sept. 15, 2024.
Two grants have been established to support the Industry Grant Program:
- Daniel A. Baldwin Industry Grant
- Gene White Field Excellence Grant
