The National Pest Management Association (NPMA) will host a technical webinar titled ”Mites and Ticks: A PMP’s Guide to Identification and Management,” on May 9 at 2 p.m. Eastern.
The free webinar, developed by the NPMA Technical Committee, will give a how-to for veteran and novice pest management professionals (PMPs) alike on mite and tick identification and management.
According to the association, mites and ticks can be some of the most challenging pests to identify and manage. Their potential to pose food safety and public health risks makes understanding them critical for PMPs.
Presenters include:

Dr. Ben Hottel, BCE, is an entomologist for Rollins Inc. and is the son of PMP Hall of Famer Patricia Hottel, BCE (Class of 2024).
Morgan Manderfield, BCE, is a senior entomologist for Ecolab and serves on a team responsible for developing and commercializing innovative devices and protocols for Ecolab’s pest elimination programs.
