About J.F. Oakes
For 26 years, Jim Oakes worked as a salesman for termite and rodent control products with a major chemical manufacturer, collaborating closely with distributors and pest control companies across the southeast. He identified a specific need for product lines tailored to the pest control industry, and in May 1989, he founded J.F. Oakes Sales & Marketing.
Drawing on his extensive experience with termites and treatment methods, Oakes’ first product lines were drill bits and spray hoses. The Sheffield Masonry Drill Bits were designed with a focus on durability, using high-quality European steel, and offered a full range of shanks, diameters, and lengths commonly used by pest control companies. The Chemtrol spray hose, now known as Chemoak, was developed with consideration for chemical resistance, safety, working pressures, flexibility, and ease of use.
Almost three decades later, the company’s goal remains the same: to provide innovative, reliable products that meet the specific needs of pest control professionals.
