Target Specialty Products, based in Santa Fe Springs, Calif., has made several strategic changes to its organizational structure, effective immediately.
According to its new release, these proactive steps occur with the intent to “evolve the business model and better align talent with strategic goals, positioning the company for long-term optimization and success.”
Promotions and new business units
Tom Algeo has been promoted to senior director, Pest. He now oversees the consolidated Pest US business, including Pest East, Pest West and Vector.
Bobby Maston will continue in his role as director of sales for Pest West. While his regional scope remains unchanged, Maston now reports directly to Algeo as part of the unified Pest leadership team. Sales managers for Pest West will continue to report to Maston.
Mike Nichols, sales manager at Vector, now also reports to Algeo as an integral part of the Pest business unit.
Casey O’Connor, formerly director of purchasing, was promoted to senior director, turf and ornamental (T&O) and specialty businesses. In this new role, O’Connor spearheads the formation and strategic direction of this unified business unit. His oversight includes US T&O, Canada, Cygnet, Vertex and Proprietary turf products. Mark Miller, director of T&O sales, has elected to step into a new role in the Northeast as manager, T&O business development and sales specialist, reporting to O’Connor.
Marketing consolidation
To better align strategy, Target is establishing a dedicated internal marketing function. Bobby Kossowicz, previously strategic partner manager, has been promoted to senior manager, marketing, reporting directly to Target Specialty Products President David Helt.
