Lars Oestergaard will join Envu, a global environmental science company based in Cary, N.C., as chief financial officer (CFO). In this role, which begins Oct. 1, he will oversee global finance, legal and compliance functions at Envu.
Oestergaard has more than two decades of finance, accounting and business leadership experience in multinational organizations. He joins Envu from Syngenta, where he has held senior finance roles for Europe, Africa, the Middle East and the Americas, most recently leading finance for Crop Protection North America. His experience spans building high-performing teams, strengthening stakeholder trust and credibility, and working closely with capital markets through investor relations.
“Since our inception nearly four years ago, Envu has built a strong financial framework, enabling us to better serve our customers and create value for all our stakeholders,” Envu CEO Gilles Galliou said in a news release. “We look forward to welcoming Lars Oestergaard as CFO. His combination of finance leadership, value creation, and capital markets expertise will help us continue delivering on our commitments while advancing our ambitious growth plans.”
Oestergaard said he has followed the progress Envu has made since its launch in 2022 and is impressed by the company’s growth and achievements.

Oestergaard will succeed Troy Randolph, who will be leaving Envu at the end of September and will pursue another opportunity. Planning to initially be based in the Envu office in Lyon, France, Oestergaard will travel regularly to the company’s headquarters in Cary, N.C., as well as other Envu offices around the world.
