Northfield, Ill.-based Rose Pest Solutions has donated $4,700 to Bernie’s Book Bank as part of the 2025-2026 season Chicago Wolves Score For Charity program. This represents the eighth year of the Rose/Wolves partnership, with a total of $37,564 being donated by Rose to Bernie’s.

The Score For Charity program provides money to area charities based on various stats from Wolves games. Rose’s donation was based on $100 for every win during the past season. With 47 Wolves wins in the 2025-2026 season, Rose’s donation this past season totals $4,700.

“We are also excited that Bernie’s is expanding into Wisconsin to provide high-quality books to children in the Greater Milwaukee area,” Janelle Iaccino, Rose’s marketing director, said in a news release. “We are thrilled to be helping with such an important project to encourage children in their natural thirst for knowledge and are looking forward to supporting Bernie’s as we both grow into the Milwaukee market together.”

The press release reports that as many as 25 million children in the U.S. are unable to read at grade level proficiency and 32 million lack home, school or book access. A five-year study conducted in partnership with award-winning education researcher Dr. Geoffrey Borman found that Bernie’s is making a difference. Students who received books through Bernie’s Book Bank achieved higher literacy outcomes than their peers.

“Bernie’s has distributed more than 30 million free books in 17 years,” Iaccino said. “Rose will continue to support them and cheer them on.”

For this year’s check presentation, Wolves mascot “Skates” joined Rose President Curtis Rand and several other Rose executives and Jon Sata, president of the Chicago Wolves, along with Anissa Patterson, senior manager of client services for the Wolves.
