This is the sixth year that the Tacoma, Wash.-based company has offered the program. Scholarship recipients were selected based on their academic progress, personal achievements, community involvement, and demonstrated commitment to their future success. They include:
- Caden Peloquin / Pacific Lutheran University
- Hanah Jennings / College of Western Idaho
- Jaden Jennings / Western Washington University
- Joss Franco / College of the Sequoias
- Leticia Monge / Arizona State University
- Madison Guinn / Chemeketa Community College
“We know that pursuing higher education takes dedication and often significant sacrifice, both from students and the families who support them,” Sprague’s director of people operations, Leila Starwich, said in a news release. “One of the things I love most about this scholarship program is that it allows us to invest directly in the dreams and goals of the people who make up the Sprague family. Reading this year’s applications was incredibly inspiring.”
The Sprague Scholarship Program is open to eligible Sprague team members, their dependents and partners who are pursuing accredited college, university, vocational or technical education programs. Since its inception, the program has helped support educational opportunities for dozens of members of the extended Sprague family, reinforcing the company’s belief that investing in people creates stronger communities and a brighter future.
