Target Specialty Products welcomes Dr. Jody Green, BCE, as entomologist and technical training specialist. She holds a master’s and doctorate in entomology from Purdue University, along with an associate degree in environmental pest management. As a board-certified entomologist (BCE) in urban and industrial entomology and a certified pesticide applicator, Dr. Green combines scientific expertise with practical pest management experience and education.
Before joining Target Specialty Products, Dr. Green spent 10 years at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln as an extension educator and urban entomologist. Per a news release, Dr. Green’s background includes “industry research collaborations, insect diagnostics, technical education, public speaking,and science communication, as well as experience as a service specialist and termite inspector.”
Dr. Green is an active member of the Entomological Society of America (ESA), and co-hosts Arthro-Pod — considered to be one of top and longest-running insect-themed podcasts). Dr. Green also previously appeared as a panelist on PBS’s Backyard Farmer.
“We are thrilled to have Jody join our team,” Target Specialty Products’ technical training manager, Sarah Latyn, MS, MBS, BCE, said in the news release. “She is an extremely knowledgeable entomologist, as well as a talented educator. Through Extension, she worked directly with homeowners on a daily basis, which I think gives her a unique perspective to be able to help our PMPs with the challenges they face.”
