On Sept. 15, Yates-Astro Termite & Pest Control closed on its acquisition of Altamaha Pest Control, based in Claxton, Ga.
Talmadge Yarbrough founded Altamaha Pest Control in the late 1980s. After his death in 2024, granddaughter Cheyanne Durrence continued leading the company.
“We are honored to have the opportunity to continue the legacy that Talmadge began and that Cheyanne has faithfully carried forward,” Rick Culbreth Jr., president of Yates-Astro Termite & Pest Control, said in a news release. “Altamaha Pest Control has deep roots in this community, and we are committed to preserving the traditions, relationships, and customer-focused values that have made the company so respected.”
Culbreth added that the Yates-Astro team was “excited about the future and the opportunity for growth. Most importantly, we look forward to serving the friends, families and long-time customers who have supported Altamaha Pest Control over the years. Our goal is to honor the company’s history while providing the resources and support needed to serve customers for many years to come.”
