Pest Management Professional (PMP) magazine earned two national awards and six regional awards from the American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE).
The organization recognizes editorial, design and online excellence for business-to-business, trade, association and professional publications. Its annual Azbee Awards of Excellence competition is open to all U.S.-based publications.
At the Azbee Awards of Excellence banquet held during its annual conference in Washington, D.C., on May 10, PMP received two national awards:
- Silver in the Design/Front Cover-Best Typographic Cover category for the Weed & the Workplace cover of the April 2017 issue.
- Bronze in the Design/Front Cover-Best Typographic Cover category for the Flying Insect Supplement cover that appeared in the October 2017 issue.
PMP received six Heartland Region awards:
- Gold in the Print/Special Supplement category for the WDI Revenue Opportunities that appeared in the February 2017 issue.
- Silver in the Print/Single Topic Coverage by a Team category for the Weed & the Workplace feature that appeared in the April 2017 issue.
- Bronze in the Print/Special Supplement category for the 2018 State of the Industry that appeared in the November 2017 issue.
- Gold in the Design/Front Cover-Best Typographic Cover category for the Weed & the Workplace cover of the April 2017 issue.
- Silver in the Design/Front Cover-Supplement category for the Flying Insect Supplement cover that appeared in the October 2017 issue.
- Bronze in the Design/Front Cover-Illustration category for the July 2017 Route to Riches cover.
ASBPE was launched in 1964 as the American Society of Business Press Editors. Members of this professional association include full-time and freelance editors, writers, art directors and designers who work for business, trade and specialty publications.
