Academy-2019-648Academy 2019 registration is now open. The National Pest Management Association’s (NPMA’s) annual summer conference will be held July 16-18 at the Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass in Phoenix, Ariz.

The Academy 2019 conference is designed to advance the professional and business development of emerging pest management industry leaders in a hands-on, interactive environment.

This year’s speaker for the opening general session is Michelle Tillies Lederman, who will present “The Relationship Driven Leader: Because People Do Business with People They Like.” The presentation will help pest management professionals (PMPs) grow a larger network with stronger relationships. PMPs will discover how they can become leaders who attract and engage eager, committed teams, build loyalty and close deals based on relationships not price.

Other general session speakers include:

  • Jay Baer, “Talk Triggers: Turn Your Customers into Volunteer Marketers”
  • Dave Crenshaw, “The Myth of Multitasking: Increase Your Value with the Power of Hidden Time”

NPMA Learning Labs will also give attendees the chance to dive deeper into key topics, share ideas and gain new perspectives on how to better manage their businesses or employees. These are interactive dialogues with other Academy 2019 attendees interested in the same topic. Sessions will be repeated on Wednesday and Thursday, allowing participants the opportunity to attend two different topics. This year’s learning labs include:

  • Diversity
  • Recruitment and Retention
  • Company Culture
  • Customer Trends
  • Sales Management
  • Business Development
