For the fifth year in a row, Terminix Service Inc. was named one of the 2019 Best Employers in North Carolina. This program was created by Business North Carolina, NC SHRM and Best Companies Group.
The survey and awards program is designed to identify, recognize and honor the best employers in North Carolina benefiting the economy, workforce, and businesses in the state of North Carolina.
“Since my grandfather started our company in 1947, Terminix Service Inc. has strived to deliver quality service, while creating working environments that provide strong personal growth and development opportunities for all employees,” Lex Knox, chairman and CEO of the Columbia, N.C.-based company, said in a press release. “We are incredibly proud to be recognized for the fifth year in a row as a top employer in North Carolina.”
Companies from North Carolina entered the two-part survey process to determine the 2019 Best Employers in North Carolina. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking.
With annual revenue in excess of $120 million, the family-owned and -operated Terminix Service,Inc. is the largest franchisee of the Terminix International franchise system and the eighth-largest pest control company in North America. Terminix Service Inc. operates in South Carolina, western North Carolina and the Central Savannah River Area of Georgia.
