The Nashville Business Journal recently ranked U.S. Pest Protection No. 21 in its list of the Top 25 Largest Family-owned Businesses in Nashville, Tenn. The firm, currently the largest privately owned pest control company in the Volunteer State, beat out hundreds of other middle Tennessee businesses based on its 2019 revenue.

U.S. Pest’s counts among its commercial customers Beretta USA, Bridgestone Arena, Bridgestone Americas Corporate HQ Tower, Cracker Barrel Corporate, First Tennessee Park, Ford Ice Center, Pinnacle Bank, and more. Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee’s family company, Lee Co., is also a customer, as are the Nashville Predators and the Nashville Sounds.

In other U.S. Pest news, it recently partnered with Overland Park, Kan.-based Go Local Interactive, a digital marketing agency specializing in new customer acquisition for national and regional brands.

“Aside from pest control being a core vertical of Go Local, U.S. Pest has multiple business characteristics that make it an ideal client partner for us,” Go Local Interactive Co-Founder John Jordan said in a news release. “From our first communication, you could see there was strong synergy between our teams.”

“Go Local Interactive is the best current choice for U.S. Pest’s digital marketing needs because they are familiar with our industry, but also have a talented and creative dynamic team who is leading the pack,” U.S. Pest’s second-generation president, Erica Brister, said in a news release.

U.S. Pest also made headlines in April for launching ViroCleanse, a specialized two-step service as follows:

  1. A thorough treatment with a viricide, wiping down high-touch surfaces such as doorknobs, desks, desk chairs, keyboards, phones, countertops and any hard high-touched trafficked surfaces.
  2. A broad mist application of the viricide, applied at full strength to cover surfaces that may hold bacteria and viruses on hard, non-porous surfaces such walls, flooring, sides of desks, carpeting, doors and bathrooms.
