The National Pest Management Association (NPMA) announced today that, “unless prohibited by state or local actions, NPMA is moving forward with plans to host our Annual Convention this October. We will work with the Gaylord Opryland Hotel & Convention Center to ensure that all appropriate measures are taken in accordance with CDC guidelines to promote a healthy and enjoyable face-to-face convention.”

PestWorld 2020 is set to take place Oct. 13-16 in Nashville, Tenn. The NPMA has opened early-bird registration, with options explained here.

New this year is the CEO Forum, taking place the afternoon of Monday, Oct. 12, and the morning of Tuesday, Oct. 13. Sponsored by BASF, it is designed to “address topics including how to succeed in a world of disruption and how employees are your business. The two days will bring a combination of both keynote speakers and carefully selected industry speakers that will provide solutions and a vision to these conversations. Walk away from this informative forum with new ideas and solutions for your business and its future.” Learn more and register for this separate event here.

The NPMA says it is anticipating more than 200 vendors for its exhibit hall.

While both its Safety Summit and Carolinas/Mid-Atlantic Conference were rescheduled for 2021, the NPMA is also moving forward with its annual Academy in July, albeit in a different format. As we reported May 26, Academy 2020 will take place virtually beginning in mid-July and run every other week through early October. Each session will be approximately 90 minutes long, and will include a variety of keynote presentations, interactive team building tasks, and Learning Lab breakouts focused on business management. From Oct. 13-16, Academy participants will be encouraged to join in-person for PestWorld 2020 in Nashville, Tenn., where the Academy champions will be celebrated and an exclusive Academy meet-up will take place facilitating continued engagement and networking. The full schedule and a link to registration, which is also open now, can be found here.
