Waco, Texas-based Neighborly announced its inclusion in the 2021 Inc. 5000, the prestigious ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies.

This is the third consecutive year that Neighborly made the list, which represent a look at some of the most successful companies within American independent small businesses.

The complete results of 5000 Inc. include company profiles and an interactive database that can be sorted by industry, region and other criteria. The top 500 companies are featured in the September issue of Inc., which will is available on newsstands on Aug. 20.

Neighborly’s placement at No. 4,345 is a result of the company’s consistent growth year-over-year. The company is made up of more than 4,800 franchises representing 28 total brands that repair, maintain and enhance properties. Neighborly has one platform that serves over 10 million customers across nine countries.

Mike Bidwell, president and CEO of Neighborly, said it is an honor for Neighborly to be included again on the annual Inc. 5000 list along with other organizations.

“Neighborly — like so many other companies — has overcome a variety of challenges within the last year, all while continuing to provide excellent customer experiences to homeowners in need of home services,” Bidwell said. “As we continue pursuing our vision to ‘Own The Home’ through Neighborly’s family of home service brands, recognition like this signifies that we’re well on our way to making that vision a reality.”

Intuit, Zappos, Under Armour, Microsoft, Patagonia and many other well-known names gained their first national exposure as honorees on the Inc. 5000.

The companies on the 2021 5000 Inc. have been competitive within their markets, but this year’s list also proved companies to be resilient and flexible given the unprecedented challenges of 2020.

Among the companies on 5000 Inc., the average median three-year growth rate increased to 543 percent. Overall, those companies also added more than 610,000 jobs over the past three years.

“The 2021 Inc. 5000 list feels like one of the most important rosters of companies ever compiled,” Scott Omelianuk, editor-in-chief of Inc., said. “Building one of the fastest-growing companies in America in any year is a remarkable achievement. Building one in the crisis we’ve lived through is just plain amazing. This kind of accomplishment comes with hard work, smart pivots, great leadership, and the help of a whole lot of people.”
