World Pest Day, a day to increase public, government and media awareness of the important role pest management organization plays in protecting public health, occurred on June 6.
Ayesha Azam, an entomologist for Urban Pest Management Pakistan, shares some of the ways the company celebrated World Pest Day from across the globe.
According to the company’s Facebook page, “[World Pest Day is] a day to recognize the efforts of pest management professionals maintaining the quality of life in terms of protecting public health, property, food, and reputation.”
The company launched a new workplace as well, sharing on its Facebook page, “Honoured and privileged to have the Pakistan Pest Control Family to celebrate ‘World Pest Day’ at our new workplace. Protecting you all from the threats posted by pest.”
Urban Pest Management Pakistan also celebrated World Environment Day, by launching the campaign, #OnlyOneEarth, which, “calls for collective, transformative action on a global scale to celebrate, protect and restore our planet, that is our only asset,” the company said.
“We at Urban Pest Management Pakistan are fully committed and passionate with the slogan and mission to mark this day with our technologies and expeditions that fully comply with the green environment mission,” according to a post made on Urban Pest Management Pakistan’s Facebook page.
